The Importance of Hope

Hiking is one of my favorite things to do. I love the challenge of setting a goal and pushing myself along the way. It is amazing feeling when you get to the top and can reflect on the culmination of all of your hard work. As much as I love it, there are times along the way where I question if it might just be easier to turn around and go back down. Or if it is even possible to take the next step ahead. I have stumbled and fallen more times than I can count.

When we are in the midst of a challenging season of life, it can be hard to continue moving forward. We all can start to question our ability to persevere. Hope is the sight of the mountain peak that gives us the inner strength to continue to move forward when the road is uneven and rugged. Hope tells us that there is something amazing ahead of us even if our view is obstructed for some time. Hope is knowledge deep down that all of the hard work will be worth it in the end. Over time, hope and perseverance builds strength and gets you closer to the best version of yourself. Therapy can be a source of that hope. Let’s go on that journey together.
